Work in Progress: Daily Updates on Final Painting

I won’t be able to post updates on a daily basis, but every time I work on the piece for a good amount of time, I will post up an image showing what I did, and if anything from a previous step had been altered.

So I took the final sketch, put it in my amazing SuperPrism projector that I got at a garage sale for $25! For those that aren’t artists out there, that is a price to drool and/or shout with joy about. Wow. So the sketch goes in the top, and is projected onto the “canvas,” in this case, Bainbridge Alpha Rag Mat Board. It is acid free, has a nice tooth, and it nice and sturdy.

The mat board is taped to a sheet of Masonite. I tend to use this set up as my standard easel system. Kitchen chair, black cloak to protect the chair, and image taped to Masonite.

And that is it for today.
