Just when you thought you wouldn’t see me until Chattacon, I finished up a new video today showing how I bring a sculpture from a rough shape to a finished project.
I posted a quick video of how I am painting my armor plates for my Thorin Costume.
I got the first prototypes molded and cast. Well cast a couple of times. I think these will work great! I fixed up a new positive today from one of these casts, made the sides smoother and less “wobbly”. Also sculpted the final armor plate. More to come!
Today I was working in the mold room on a couple of projects that required silicone. I then realized this would be the perfect time to make molds for the Thorin armor plates, since I always have a little silicone left over from each batch.
