Guarding the world from the forces of darkness is an arduous task.  The Keeps of Light were established across the realm to assist in keeping a watchful eye over the land.  Each tower belongs to one mage, a wizard that has dedicated his life to the preservation of the land and animals under his vigilant eye.  For his life-long sacrifice he is given many gifts to assist in his daily tasks, and nothing can escape his watchful eyes.

While I had completed another piece in pastel, Penultimate Fantasy, I hadn't really gotten into the complications of pastels and their nuances.  I consider this to be my first true pastel work, and I have to give credit to A.B. Word and Barrie Bryant for allowing me to apprentice with them recently.
