Men's Steampunk Clothing

The City of Alvaron sprawled out, filling the valley from edge to edge. In the center of the city the buildings reached high into the sky, their brass pinnacles reflecting the warm sunlight in many directions. Over head, large zeppelins floated lazily, the inhabitants below not even noticing their large bulks drifting through the cloudless sky.

The city was full of strange contraptions, the strangest built by the gnomes, and the most elegant ones by the elves. The dwarves and ogres built the buildings and roadways, repaired the flying machines, and tunneled below the city looking for more resources. It had been this way for centuries. Until today.

With a bright flash of light, a large ship, which looked like a cross between a fish and an owl appeared in the middle of one of the bustling streets. Citizens of Alvaron scattered in every direction, everyone luckily escaping with nothing more than mere scratches. As they looked on with wide eyes, a door in the side of the odd ship opened with a large puff of steam. Polished wooden stairs slid slowly out and rested on the ground. As the steam slowly dissipated three figures became visible. The began to descend the stairs, their goggled eyes surveying the crowd. At the bottom of the ramp their leader stopped and placed his hands on hips above crisscrossed belts and a pair of large ornate pistols. His long moustache split in a grin, his white teeth gleaming. “Well now, what have we here?”

The barrier between the worlds had been broken. It had held for thousands of years, but now with a ship that could break through dimensions, the creatures of fey and the humans were once again reunited.

S.S. Aradan

Our own Airship, the S.S. Aradan travels from the city of Alvaron to the human lands bringing the goods of the fey. We call ourselves "Riftjumpers", jumping through the Never between the worlds, seeking adventure and fortune. Join us at any of our conventions and be part of the crew!

What is Steampunk?

From Wikipedia:

Steampunk is a sub-genre of fantasy and speculative fiction that came into prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. The term denotes works set in an era or world where steam power is still widely used—usually the 19th century, and often Victorian era England—but with prominent elements of either science fiction or fantasy, such as fictional technological inventions like those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne, or real technological developments like the computer occurring at an earlier date. Other examples of steampunk contain alternate history-style presentations of "the path not taken" of such technology as dirigibles, analog computers, or digital mechanical computers (such as Charles Babbage's Analytical Engine); these frequently are presented in an idealized light, or with a presumption of functionality.

What is Steampunk to us?

We travel to many shows selling our clothing and products and one thing that we often hear people criticize others for is the inaccuracy of their costumes. We feel like Steampunk is a great way for people to have a great costume without having to hear people criticize how accurate their costumes are. You know a steampunk costume when you see one.

And for us, why not go with a little fantasy in our steampunk? So anyways, as always just have fun with your costumes, because if we take stuff too seriously then aren't we spoiling the fun?
